Brief Description:

As part of a small growing software development team, this position will be required to: review, analyze, and modify programming systems including writing code, testing, debugging and installing to support company’s internet and client/server based software applications.

Primary Job Responsibility:

• Design, develop, test and document new application components, primarily in Visual Basic 6 and Classic ASP.
• Utilize various programming techniques to implement successful solutions.
• Perform maintenance programming tasks on existing applications.
• Perform analysis and requirement gathering to determine all application changes.
• Prepare detailed specifications for business applications projects that will be part of existing core applications.
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing application components to present proposals and detailed evaluations.
• Work with technical and non-technical staff to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of problems related to the development and maintenance of new and existing applications.
• Assist with the establishment of departmental processes, procedures and programming and testing standards.
• Participate in team-based development to implement projects according to schedules and resources.
• May develop and maintain web sites and various web services.
• Perform other related duties and be willing to be cross-trained as may be assigned.
• May lead and oversee the work of others as required.
• Prepare regular status reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3-5 years experience working with Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and Classic ASP.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and COM to build DLLs and client/server applications.

BuyEfficient is an internet-based purchasing system designed specifically for the hotel/hospitality industry. In addition to providing a technology purchasing solution, we leverage our membership purchasing volume to negotiate vendor programs and maximize pricing benefit for our customers.

This position will support and train customers on the use of our internet based hospitality purchasing system.

Primary Job Responsibility:

• Answer and assist with customer support calls.
• Identify challenges and concerns from customers, elevate if necessary.
• Assist with various customer projects.
• Develop and maintain on going knowledge of BuyEfficient vendor programs.
• Support training team in building customer profiles.
• Support assigned account manager with specified accounts to meet business development goals.
• Responsible for compliance and spend for assigned hotels.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of hospitality purchasing and/or Food & Beverage experience.
• Understanding of supply management within the hotel industry.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player that will take the initiative to get things done.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be flexible, detail oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills.
